The Fog of War

When nations go to war The public knows the score Sons treated like a dog Cast in a bloody fog Children and their mothers Say goodbye to brothers The fog shows in their eyes But no one hears their cries Soldiers are divided And their fate decided Lost in the fog of war Like all the ones before Sailors are reminded In the fog you're blinded After fog is lifting Wayward souls are drifing

This hits home with the lonely sorrow and hopelessness of war, whenever or wherever it’s waged. Nicely crafted - keep up the good work.
