The Firefly
As quiet as the falling snow
As quick as a streaming ray of light
As bright as the moon's ghostly glow
The firefly does appear at night
It blinks as if to say "hello"
Putting on a dazzling show
Dancing and prancing before our eyes
Then disappearing beneath evening sky's
If one appears, soon many more will follow
In the blink of an eye they fill the hollow
They seem unafraid as they move swiftly about
And then without warning their lights fade out
What miracles exist in this world of ours
The firefly, the hummingbird and magnificent flowers
Life is a garden there before us to behold
One miracle after another just waiting to unfold
