The Eighth Wonder
It must be fascinating,
To gaze through the end of a scope
And look upon the stars,
To be beneath the surface of the sea
And swim amongst the blissful creatures of the water,
To travel the world and know its wonders-
The beauty that most cannot fathom.
It must be exhilarating
To sit astride a motorcycle
And fly across an empty road,
To stand upon the helm of a ship
And glide over the open ocean,
Feeling the wind against your skin
As your heart beats in earnest.
But I am content
To sit beside you,
And listen to you breathe.
