The Drifter
He cried out
Loud and wild
Groaning and lamenting
His now dejected state
With his head
Pillowed on his hands
He recalled how fitted
His crown once rested
The thought of when
His every word was law
And his pillow puffy
Brought out a faint grin
With a jolt he awaken
Struggling to paddle
Amidst his ocean of thoughts
He made a resolve
To swim backwards
To the very spot
Where his crown tilted
