The Cave Shelters Me

When I was little, Escape remittal I could hide in a cave But the danger was grave It was just in my head The fear of the dread, I didn't know The cave was not my foe I feared the thing that sheltered us The thing that made us live I should not have made a fuss Fearing the thing that gives I hid in a tree And fell on my knee I broke a bone But hated the unknown But now I know The cave shelters me Without it I'd simply die.
