The Carousel
Like a carousel gone mad the circles persist
Whirling and twirling but going nowhere
What madness has brought us to this place?
How can we find normalcy in a world of chaos?
Spinning round and round in the acid air
Man's monuments crumbling like ancient ash
The leaders that were have vanished from our midst
The leaders that would be unable to grasp the reins
Yes, the carousel spins on although the music is no more
Hope is all that remains and it floats precariously in our minds
Will man regain his sanity before it is too late?
Or, will the carousel of doom seal man's fate for all eternity?
The end of the story is yet to be written my friends
Beware of the enemy called apathy as it is a sinister foe
