Thanks To Mom and Dad: Some Christmas words of gratitude For all your kind parental latitude. Thanks for all the nights you lost your sleep, Thanks for all the junk you let me keep. Thanks for mending all my faded jeans, Thanks for making me eat my greens. Thanks for putting up with teenage moods, Thanks for all the drinks and food. Thanks for all the love and all that mushy stuff, Now I know that being big is tough. Thanks for all the things you've done for me, From buying toys to mending battered knees. Thanks for all the thanks I forgot to say, And being nice about it anyway. The thanks I owe are more than I can count, Let's say they're an undefined amount. There'll be many more to owe, I'm sure it's true, But mainly, thanks, just for being you.
