Shadows sleep in moonlight's silver glow, in mountain streams and children's dreams. They rise when sunlight opens his eyes, awakened at first light by the kiss of dawn. All day they follow us at measured pace... These tenebrous shadows without a face.

I shall now refer to my shadow as "tenebrous Tom"...love that line (even though I had to learn a new word to truly enjoy it)

a much lovelier and more exquisite expression of the phrase 'me and my shadow.' I especially liked 'tenebrous shadows without a face.' You captured the essence of 'shadows' quite well. Am faving...have a delightful evening, Sara
