Swept From the Sea

He came from across the world. Swept from the sea. To love, and, be loved by me. I waited forever by the shores. Looking out to sea. Waiting for, my love to come to me. Legend says if you wait long enough, it will surely come to be. Beyond the bend that turns the tides. My distant thoughts were so entwined. I knew one day you'd come for me. So there I stood for days looking at the sea. In hopes that you too were looking for me. Then one day I saw you were staring at me. Even though you spoke another language. I knew that day you came for me, That's where we built our kingdom of love, by the sea. Sept. 1, 2013

Hi Debbie You have very beautifully described belief and faith...and reached to a point where man whatever decides , it happens...Thanks for visiting my" Youth is Treasure" i would like to quote Robert here First believe, next embrace faith, then if true the fruit bears out the hope and a blessing arrives. Sea of contentment and love often combine.

It kind of reminds me of Poe and his Annabel Lee, but hopefully this romance won't end in tragedy! thanks for showing me to this sweet poem. It sure helps that I don't have to keep clicking on poems I have already read!
