Sunset
The prairie sunset was spectacular
as the sun was setting in the west
different hues of blues and purples
streaks of pinks and red
deep on the far horizon
yellows, gold and bright orange
the last of the sun's evening glow
all the colours of the rainbow
brightly displayed upon the sky
as it slowly ushers in the dusk while
putting on evenings grand show.
