Sunday Morning Muse
The air is thick and sweet with the promise of rain
I long to abandon my thoughts into its depths
Flooding my senses with hope
And forgotten memories of the past …
The pictures are long faded from my mind
But that warm sense of joy…
Yes, it still lingers untarnished
Filling me with the wander of youth,
Of innocence and a purity only seen in the eyes of babes
Bits of memories flick past
Played out like an old movie projected on a wall
I can almost hear the ever click-clicking of the rolling film
‘This is your life’, whispers my thoughts
And still I feel warm joy, lying just under my skin
A slow smile reaches my lips at the sheer wander
That there is still soo much more yet to come
I am soo grateful …
So blessed …
Life is beautiful
