Sun Kissed
The cold draining away,
After the battle long,
Night after night,
Freezing air smothers.
Sky lights up,
Preparing me for warmth,
Peak itching for relief,
Soon to be freed.
Sun upon my skin,
Shaking like trees from the snow,
Blood begins to pump,
Limbs no longer frozen.
Tingling upon my earth,
Wriggling to life,
Shining bright is my light
Waking with no flight.
Refreshing warmth upon my eyes,
All the world colored,
Dark blanket of night.
Ripped away to show the light.
