Sun and Rain
The sun came out for a little while
On a somewhat gloomy day
There's more rain to the south of us
which may just head our way
But the flowers and bushes, the trees and the like
Are enjoying the water that fell
They're nourished by the H2O
their green leaves show the tell
A rainbow stretched across the sky
As the sun began to set
And with sunshine in the forecast
On one thing you sure can bet
That tomorrow morning you'll hear a voice
Mumbling in the garden
For the weeds, they grow here also
Without regret or pardon
So the cycle of summer now begins
It's march toward the autumn
Then winter covers all the land
Until spring begins to thaw them
Then the flowers and trees, bushes and the like
Will spring to life once more
The sun will warm the Earth right up
And the rain will once again pour
