One Instructor said, no "LY" words, and no "ING" words. But, here I have broken the rules for effect.

She makes an early showing, her warm breath blowing; an Eastern sunrise glowing, flowers up and growing. Melted icebergs flowing, men on tractors sowing; loose dirt clods throwing, barnyard roosters crowing. Suddenly, it's snowing; frosty winds now mowing. Wily smile, all-knowing; fleetingly, she's going. Spring . . . such a tease

I am tired of this icy winter. I hope spring arrives soon. Nice rhyme scheme here and thank you for your kind words. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Thank you, Matthew. We've had a new snow here and more ice and snow predicted for later in the week. Writers' meetings, church, and other gatherings cancelled. Stay snug by the fire if possible. That's one great thing about retirement, you can stay out of the weather most of the time.

Love it!! Reminds me of my Dad. He has had a few strokes and a heart attack, but he has to garden.. Usually plants at least twice.. Always get a late frost in Texas.. Hugs.. Arlene

Thanks for reading and commenting. You are very generous with your assessment, but it is much appreciated. That's the thing I love most about poetry soup, the interaction with others who write and love poetry. All the best to you, Arlene.

I loved this Cona. Why shouldn't you be allowed to take a little poetic license with a verse as nice as this!

Light and Love back to you, Debbie. Thanks for the visit, for taking the time to read and comment. Stay snug and warm inside. Pop some corn and brew a cuppa chocolate.
