Strength In Troubled Times
The essence to my strength,
is you, Mother.
I don't know any other way
I've learned many lessons so far in life-
but the biggest one has put me against a wall.
This confusion will continue to haunt me
as I try to decipher the truth-
The inevitable ageing, the worst lesson we all endure
begins with our thoughts in our youth.
At times, life can seem infinite,
then reality steps in and knocks you down
you try to swim to the top of the ocean-
with an anchor, helping you drown
Somewhere inside my head and heart-
I retreat and look for solutions
but when life hits you with the unexpected,
you can't find any resolutions.
I can't fathom why this reality is triggered
and why we must go through what is presented
all I know and what I have figured-
is our curses are also blessings, just blended
Somehow fear is never expected
and it always hurts your heavy heart
and though the sadness is accepted
it will always give you strength for a new start
