Star Dust
Atoms, quarks, molecules and such
Tiny particles we cannot see or touch
Yet they are there throughout the universe
Making us what we are for better or worse
Cloud like images deep in endless space
All a precious precursor to our human race
Yes, what we are and from whence we came
Is natural cause behind it or was God to blame?
The answers are elusive and time is not a friend
As our stay here is but a spark that will too soon end
So we face each day as best we can
Never knowing where it will end or when it began
But one thing is for sure and in this we can trust
Somewhere in the distant future all will return to star dust
