Star Burns
The fire reflects off your eyes as the day winds down
I withdraw into them
Those stars glance down at us and I wonder do we shine back to them
Do they think of us with wonder and hope
I wish I may and wish I might
The angry stars always remember
But with hope one star burns and gathers us
I see you dance with the wind
Feet not touching the ground as you glide to me
Will I dance with you and the wind
Your lips gather me and embrace
We dance to the rhythmic beat of our hearts and the wind
Wishing it will never end I snatch one last furtive remembrance
And your eyes take me in from the cold night air
