Spring
I tried to blaze a trail through the snow-
Rather than wait for spring.
Hibernation is not a failure.
It’s ok to rest willingly.
Like a tree, you will still gain new rings.
And eventually, grow new leaves.
So please do not let yourself be a martyr in this snowstorm.
Please trust that warmth will soon replenish your strength.
You will still be as determined as ever.
But maybe slightly less stubborn.
And you will soon be the first to take those tentative steps into the warmth.
Trusting that they will all follow in droves.
On that first spring day.
