Today, the long lost sun hides and peeks, poking patches of snow to evaporate. Green tinges from trees faintly shine through bare branches, a halo effect. Yawning yellow daffodils nod, egregiously succeeding navigation of lingering winter weather. Lack of spring's sun contributes to lackadaisical plant growth, fostering fortuitous environmental confusion. Nature awaits spring's steady stream of daylight to energize and incite trees and flowers to bloom. April 28, 2018 Spring Contest by craig cornish April 29, 2018 Free Verse Fifteenth Place

Image filled write Susan. My mother loves Daffodils, especially Jonquils. (To make a Narcissus grow you have to tickle it under its cup, it likes the attention-a little flower humor.)

Very nice images of spring. I felt like I had read this before then I realized you borrowed some of the thoughts from Spring Peekaboo. Enjoyed. John
