Sour Grapes

What must I do to impress you my love You are to me a lass so very fair To see you with another man sweet dove Now leaves me with a heart in deep despair I wonder what he has that makes him special Just what now in Him must you surely see Is it just that he's a handsome vessel Why does this bloke make your heart feel so free I'd give all that I have to be with you It doesn't seem to me to be quite fair Why can't I seem to find a love that's true Why does false hope now seem to be my snare You now mean more to me then life it seem But all I have of you is in my dreams 8/31/18 For the Sour Grapes Poetry Contest
