Somewhere Man
Erase, erase, erase, erase, erase.
Behind this door, I have no face.
Two steps forward, two steps back.
At this pace I'm not even in the race.
Trying to read someone else's mind.
End up feeling you're just unkind.
Filling in the blanks with paranoise.
Where truth lie's, you just can't find.
Distant shades of an empty thought.
Of a forlorn gift you never bought.
Changed the beating of your heart.
When you lost what you thought you caught.
Painting pictures only you can see.
I look around, but it's just me.
Some artist's die before they're known.
They just gave it away for free.
