Solitude

Moonlight kisses the calm, balmy sea, the cool night is calling me as I sit by the lonely shore so far away from our home. Silence lingers, the wind gently blows while my thoughts fly back to you, wait for me, wait for me, I’ll come home across the sea. From a distance I hear a sad guitar, my mind goes to where you are, your loving face is all I see with a voice that beckons to me. By the light of a yellow, pale moon I’m dreaming to see you soon, wait for me, wait for me, I’ll come home across the sea.

Nicely written. There's a rhythm to the words that would suit a melody quite well.
