Sojourn Through Time

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness in Opulent hues that color our lives as we age and Journey through changing circumstances with Obstacles that crop up unforseen, and so Unexpectedly that we are caught off guard Relying on instinct to help us cope, Never suspecting that these changes are lessons To help us grow, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually. How we respond to these life changes shapes our Reality in the divergent paths we assume On our journey toward reaching our goals as Understanding ourselves is the key to happiness. Most of our failures and set backs in life are occasions to learn something from them. Unfortunately we cry over our misfortunes never trying to learn anything from them. Either we can perish or we can prosper.... ! It is our Choice ! There is so much of sanity and wisdom in your thoughts Connie! Enjoyed reading this well composed poem.....

Wow! Amazing poetry, Connie. Some of the books I've read suggest we are assigned "challenges" before we incarnate into each life. If we fail to meet these challenges, we have to encounter them again in a subsequent life. You are right on track here. Excellent writing and a fave for me -- personal meaning. Hugs, Carolyn

Very well said, Connie; truth be told, there is nothing that we do not bring on ourselves. We create all our circumstance. This can only be explained and understood through spiritual study of Karma and Reincarnation. It is all in your writing.

I find hate is detrimental to our health. I don't harbor hate for anyone, but my mate who is my opposite does. I appreciate your contest which inspired me to write this poem.
