An exceptionally fine Haiku, Connie! That 3rd line is most original. Congratulations on your top win. Sincerest regards, Brian

Dear Connie, Such a creative Haiku - the image soothes my mind. I am feeling inspired to try more of this special poetic form - you can say so much in few words. Yours is a brilliant one. Love ~ Mala

Thank you dear Anitha. I learned the plural for haiku is haiku sans the s. It is a challenging form but reading lots of haiku will make it much easier to create one. Not that I am an expert. I still have much to learn. Blessings xxoo

Connie, you excel in this form that is my achilles heel. Love your condensation of a moment into such a compact space, with alliteration as well. Nicely done and congrats on the win.

Thank you very much John. It takes a lot of practice because haiku is a challenge. I have studied it for over twenty years. I believe when writing haiku less is more. I still have a lot to learn. I appreciate your lovely comment. Blessings xxoo

Thank you for your kind comment, Connie. I love this Haiku written with the perception that sees beauty in the dusk... as wings begin to flutter! I have done what science has suggested. I wear the mask when going places, but I have seen sadness and anger all around me. My hope for a return to normality never fades. Be happy, stay safe and enjoy your Monday.

I see less and less workers worried about the mask. Mechanics, delivery guys etc. often are not wearing them unless you ask. I never would. Thank you. xxoo

I appreciate your lovely comment Brian. Haiku is a challenging form that needs to be studied. I have been a student of the form for 22 years yet still I feel I am lacking in knowledge. Most poets feel it is a short form and easy to write. They will include two or more kigo (the seasonal word) which is unnecessary. I notice that all the time when reading haiku here at Soup. I spend more time on a haiku than I do on a sonnet which is also a challenging form in my opinion. Thank you very much. Aloha, Connie xxoo
