Slumber Murmur

In the dark when I cannot sleep I reach for the books that I keep on the locker beside my bed. Flicking the pages soothes my head. It's your baby books my dears. Guaranteed to bring me cheer. Sweet memories bring sweet slumber. I dose as your names I murmur.

Charles I see now I have not made myself clear. By baby book I mean a book I made for each of my three daughters. They record their first step, first tooth, first lock of hair etc. With loads of photos. Much more soothing than Winnie to me.

Like all first time mothers Kim, I noted every step of development in my excitement. I remember my G.P. telling me a story about a mother of five. The first one, she had fretted over about potty training. The last one said to her one day. " Mammy you know I don't wear nappies now?"
