We must support Ukraine. Their cause is noble and fully justified.
Slava Ukrani
The day dawns in thunder,
As always.
The night creeps forward
New fires over all the landscape
Like fallen stars burning their last,
As always.
We comfort the wounded
See to the dead
Throughout the night,
Then, come another dawn,
We pick up our arms
And go to face the invaders,
As always.
Slava Ukrani.
There is nothing for you here,
Young Russian soldier.
Nothing but swift death,
Then the long second death
Of Infamy.
Your grandfathers fought a brave war
Against invaders who behaved
Just as you do now.
They were beaten back
With gritted teeth
And a sea of blood.
Now they are an ugly memory.
Do you think we will be any less resolute
Fighting as we are, as once you did,
For our freedom, our home, our lives,
Our Dignity?
There is nothing for you here,
Young Russian soldier.
Why cause your Mother to weep,
Your Father to burn with quiet shame,
All for a madman's useless whim?
No. There is nothing for you here,
Young Russian soldier.
Nothing but to die, sooner or later
In your filthy foxhole,
Dreaming of something to eat
And decent shoes.
Your blind eyes will stare
Into blue Ukrainian skies;
Sunflowers growing through your bones
In the Spring,
While the wind sighs through the grasses,
"Slava Ukrani!
Slava Ukrani!".
