Skin Deep
Peel the refinement and what have you got
A human being who's still an animal at heart
They will not admit they share an animal's nature
It won't happen..…they believe they're a different creature
They've lost their fur, their claws, their teeth
That's superficiality, they're still animals underneath
But they steal the fur from animals too
And not just any fur is going to do
So they lock these creatures in small cramped cages
And strip their skin off as they've done for ages
But acquisitive greed might take a turn for the worse
When wanderers from space look on humans as a main course
