To say the universe always existed violates every concept of our logic. The origin of our totality could not have been a spontaneous event. A beginning requires a beginner. We have no concept of what always was, except by supplanting what might be with what is through faith. Faith permits us to believe the incredible, which means; extraordinary things do not always require empiricle evidence. Faith is unconstructed. It's a gift. It's either presented to you through conviction, or it's not. You eiher possess it, or you do not. With faith, we know love and with love we find strength. Without faith, love cannot exist and without love, existance would be inconsequential. To deny the existance of God is to doubt the love in our own significance...

This is a beautiful story, laid out well and described with feeling, written from the heart of a caring soul. Well composed with faith seasoning the poem with love and inspiration. You have a good heart and make me feel it through your words, after all poetry is the means of transposing feeling to words and you do it well my friend, Emile.

So true, and so well-expressed. Ours is simply to keep the faith. ... One of my four children left the faith; he's now an 'atheist-agnostic.' it's simply painful to watch him battle upstream. I can only wish him G-dspeed... Thanks for this wonderful write, Charlie! Best always, gw

Charlie, When I read your lovely poem I thought the atheists who are missing out on knowing the incredible sense of love, protection, guidance, comfort and help in any situation that faith provides us with. You have conveyed this so brilliantly in your poem my friend. Your last line should be enough to giving anyone who doubts in a higher power, pause. Beautiful! : )

A very profound piece Charlie, certainly got me thinking.Your third stanza resonated deeply with me.To put in my own words how I feel,I am nothing without Him but am becoming everything with Him.Love is all and we need to trust in it’s source to find it.Thank you for sharing this.

Please know I am not preaching, far from it - I am seeking and your poem stirs up depths in me that I enjoy discussing openly with others. Were you here, I'm sure we'd both learn from a worthy dialogue. I enjoyed learning this side of you and your last line, oh, Charlie - it is perfect! Poetry hugs ... CayCay

A duel to the "beginning" indeed. White gloves are appropriate. Your bright side is showing, you're out of the shadows, lovely person...

TWO - My 1st sentence was a concurrence with your first stanza; that brains seek logic (as u said) when faith is what is needed. Then I merely shared how I put the talks about 'origin' comfortably away in me and avoid them (I was just being chatty.) Then I wondered, with you, if maybe faith is lost rather than never found. I behold and respect the uniqueness in each soul's journey, I behold the glory in them and feel gratitude with them and for them that they have found the God of their understanding. I do however judge some when I should not, but I do when I meet people who have never bothered to search out any relationship with God. I would never attempt to cause you concern or taint your beliefs, so I am not sorry, but I do regret every and any way I put you on the defense, concerned you or perplexed you. Now, if all is not back to spiritual harmony between us, we'll just have to duel at dawn - you may choose the weapon and I'll bring the white gloves. Did ya smile?

BOX ONE My sweet Charlie - After I submitted my comments, I grew worried you'd think I was trying to influence you and now I've read you're concerned I may have felt you were proselytizing. Let's discuss this!, oh, yes, in real time what a dialogue that could be! I love such sharing-discussions because they stir spirit, invite God's presence. Because people seem so sensitive about their beliefs, I only talk of God if asked or with those who I feel, like me, have no need to be right or find another wrong.

CayCay, believe me when I say I was not proselytizing by any means. I believe one can believe in God without being religious. I wouldn't begin to define my God as being of one denomination; by any other name etc. The crux of my piece is Faith, and not just in God alone. At the very least, we started a dialogue. Thanks and love, Charlie

I believe as spirits in human life we are meant to seek truth principals to grow us eternity-ready, but often fail to silence our brains over our inner spiritual voice. I understand your message, the passion in it - I feel you, but long ago ceased caring how we started - history lies so I care only that I was God-started and meant to live in the 'now' as his authentic child. Maybe infants arrive with faith as God gifted, then it is humans who taint, take and shape it stolen.I need the next box.
