Simple and Pretty

The nose feels always sweet from the steams of the lower order happiness and contentment fill the pages of their folders still afford basic needs, though with hands quite weak match the affluent’s gatherings with a barbecue every week not nearly rich, yet their freedom is a showpiece a community of half existences, living in peace women commemorate every third night for a hen party it doesn’t matter if the gown is weary and dirty nature cannot give or take it all lacking shoes will hence not make the legs fall pricks and scars are common but easily forgettable living is plain, straight and readable all that is needed is beer to be good and funky luxury isn’t goal, a confined locality is already the walkie-talkie it is only when taste climbs the scale that appetite becomes voracious then living up to the society’s monocle makes one vicious sweaty day time for families to act deranged historic night-life, the gods have arranged maximizing the bonanzas from life’s treasury sodium is enough, one musn’t have mercury

Hi Funom, Brilliant poetry, and so right you are...i've always believed no money no worry, as a young boy, i was raise with only the bare essentials, yes we had food on the table, but it was simple and we were happy...One aspects i've always believed in,, 'It's not what one earns, but what one spends' that seems to be the root of so many financial problems, again great poetry, Stay Save my friend....

As long as one has the necessities in life and enough to cover an emergency if ever needed, that is all we need to be happy and content. Look at the millionaires who are sportsmen and sportswomen and film stars - are they happy no they want more and more, give some to the poor - PLEASE! Blessings, Jennifer.

Funom, Found gold in your poem 'Simple and Pretty'. I like the shoe-less legs that refuse to fall. Very interesting verse 'sodium is enough, one musn’t have mercury'. -Richard

Interesting work. My husband says quite often that we were all poverty level when we were growing up but we did not know it because everyone else or nearly everyone was in the same boat. Enjoyed reading your work. I appreciate you dropping by my page and taking time to read and comment. Sara

WoW! A very insightful write my friend. From this I understand you are saying that one does not need riches to be happy. So True. The Bible tells us "Better a crust of bread on a roof top in contentment than a banquet in a palace with contention." I remember one lady who said, "We aren't poor, we just don't have any money." Great piece my friend. God Bless, JB
