You extracted my favorite two lines from Dappled Dawn, a poem of many excellent lines. Being a music lover, I just get chills with "birdcall's silver notes". I wish you all the best in Milton's contest, my friend.

Michelle, this is masterful for me! Absolute pure poetry for it is so obviously Inspired, holding onto the mystery of ts voice. I guess i read it a dozen mes. You see, I do embroidery, often trying to keep it up in poor light. Anyway, kept reading til it came that the “she” is Mother Nature! Brilliant pen! So sensual! Am I right? Well, to mei am haha love

Yes, you are right, Sally, Mother Nature is the metaphor here - this was taken from my poem 'Dappled Dawn' if you want to look at that one - I don't sew or knit or anything like that, but I do like the word 'embroidered' - thank you for your comments!
