Silver Frames

Stalling the hand of age in silver frames Yesteryears crawling around the edges As time, falling like November leaves Across younger eyes, enthralling still Photographs tell a lifetime's recalling. 11/02/21 Something Beautiful in 5 Lines contest Sponsor: charles messina

No-one could describe this as good as you have Michelle, yes a photograph does stall our age and yes, yesteryears do creep around the edges but they do recall ones life and the lives of loved ones. Superb write my friend and I see that congratulations are due. hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Lovely poetry Michelle. I like the alternative form of rhyming you used, it made the words flow smoothly throughout. Bill

I like this descriptive work about maybe a grandfather. It is very emotive in a subtle way. I enjoyed reading it. Reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Your presence at my page is uplifting. Sara

I had lunch recently with my 90 year old mother-in-law and she showed me some photos of herself in her teens and twenties, and I experienced what you write about so brilliantly. My favorite line is xtime, falling like November leaves across younger eyes. Beautiful, nostalgic, and breathtaking, and my newest fave from your poetic heart.

Dear Michelle, your golden pen captures the passing of time and the memories of a bygone age with exquisite imagery and poetic finesse. "Silver Frames" is a brilliant title for such a wistful nostalgic piece. Beautiful yet bittersweet, like November leaves. Your artistry gently takes my breath away, my inspiring friend. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes for you.. ~Susan
