Senior Cut Day

It’s hot, Lonely and, Barely full Yet here I sit in class with sleeping beauty and Cinderella. But the heat and loneliness are foes to be reckoned with, As they slowly nest themselves into my head. The class that was once so still and silent. Now seemed to be instilled by the noise of the world, A world swirling around me in a darkness that only seems to grow darker. The noise overwhelmed me and left me bare, As the world piece by piece hit my body like projectiles. I screamed and screamed to be ridden of this pain, this hell, Called loneliness but the darkness just swallowed my words whole, Before they even escaped the sanctuary of my mouth. My body stayed motionless and in pain, As I accepted…………. Au Revoir class said my French teacher, Who unknowingly saved me from a fate worse than death. Loneliness.
