Sandy Love

Her voice I move from a semi-smart cell, Monotonous play, ad infinitum.... Softly time-tuning before I befell -- To be explained at a mere minimum. Sun-baked lovers in a cool salt ocean. A touching scent of beachy pheromone. The silent stillness of love's devotion. Starry-eyed kisses in the passion zone. The maximum of a too jealous green, Where the undoing of a heart is spun. A challenge to truth by a thing obscene. In the finish, there can be only one.... Her life sets me to optimum default -- For her absence, it is a rude assault.

I was thinking of Sandy like in the movie Grease, but with the beach reference, I think it was actual sand you are referring to!! That beachy pheromone was stand out!!! Yes, the second stanza was the hot one!!

You are correct, Andrea. Sand. No double entendre present. :-)

Wonderful poem, but that 2nd verse is a real standout, from it's sun-baked lovers, to it's passion zone, what a pleasure to read.

l like tone and passion. Modern words but old age feelings. Works well. Glad to see romance being kept alive. Well done Tom. I am doing a reading at local bar on Sunday as part of Jazz and poetry afternoon. Every first Sunday of month. Have a great weekend David in slightly chilly NZ
