Introduction Notes:

I am now re-reading the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, the celebrated mystic, poet-philospher, mathematician and astronomer of ancient Persia (**Notes).
Omar Khayyam’s Persian poetry — was introduced to the west through the English translations of Edward Fitzgerald. At first unnoticed, the translations were in vogue — when the leading poets of thar era started to take notice of these Persian quatrains. Known in the Persian as Rubai (or a quatrain, 4-line stanza), and the complete collection termed Rubaiyat. Hence, The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam!
Beneath the guise of wine and merry-making of drunken stupor, there is a mystical revelation of our earthly journey in life, and the spiritual aspirations of our mortality to heavenly realms.
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is truly about a mystical revelry, and the experience of the divine, or enlightenment of personal consciousness in the human being regardless of sex!
(**Notes: Ghiyath al-Din Abu al-Fat? ?Umar ibn Ibrahim Nisaburi (18 May 1048 – 04 December 1131), commonly known as Omar Khayyam (Persian: ??? ?????), was a polymath, … — Source: Wikipedia)
This poem is my personal response to the mystical perspective of Omar Khayyam, sage and mystic — a true blue Persian original and genius.

Journey Journal Page SAGE By Leon Enriquez Secrets of the heart here: Apt deeper knowing free, Glimpse fond mystic good cheer, Exult soul journey spree. Opt to know that pure bliss: Make each moment reveal, Art and science in pure peace, Rapture awaits true feel. Keep that mystic gaze bright: Hope and faith and love meet, Ask for wisdom and light, Yield to a touch most sweet; Yonder beyond mere earth: Apt music in pure strains, Meet thus a timeless mirth. Indulge love’s deep refrain: Note the passage most meek, Stillness calls in a glimpse, Prize bold vision that speaks; Incline soul dream that streams: Rise and purge vain desires, Empty all vain thoughts now. Mind-body thus attires: Yield as true love endows, Sense in seeing bright grace, Truth in bright cast of light; Intuit a timeless face: Crisp word craft in glimpse bright, Pique that feel thus mellow, Here and Now embrace whole; Invoke fire in marrow: Lavish workings of soul, Old beyond buzz of time, Spirit calls us to peace; Odd and even thus rhyme: Profound in true soul lease, Happy joy in calm lot, Ere cacophony pains, Rich that heavenly thought. Affluent moments sans strains: Niche in a mellow calm, Dance of spirit attain. Glimpse as soul utters psalm: Embrace bliss in refrain, Now as rapture instructs, Impress dear soul and heart; Urge love in pure construct: Subtle stillness prompts art. Peace in steadfast deep mirth: Obtain rich poignant feel, Exult soul sense of birth, Thrill deep touch of goodwill. Taste beyond sensuous touch: Heed true rapture you face, Use brief time to bloom much, See that timeless true grace. Puzzle fits due season: Ripples in the swift wind, Observe beyond mere reason, Choice in worlds in-between; Love and light and grace here: Ample and lavish psalm, Ink stains as words bridge spheres, Meet and ground soul trip calm.
