I wrote this poem for a friend of ours for his 75th birthday
and as a going away remembrance.  He and his wife
are moving away.  What a precious man of GOD.

GOD BLESS

Robert Matson, A Blessed Man of GOD That was some day that Bob Matson came to his GOD on his knees, GOD rejoiced that HIS son had come home to HIM and HE was so blessedly pleased. You see, Bob being a very intelligent man didn’t think that he needed this weak man’s GOD, but that was soon to change yet the LORD had other plans for him of which one day he, himself would be awed. After all, Bob was an inventor for our military and warheads and missiles were on his plate, for he had invented the Stinger Missile but there is no comparison with a missile and the power of our GOD or do debate! He continued to resist for a while and then one day GOD revealed Bob’s need for this Creator to take over his earthly life, and when HE did a new Robert Matson was born and not only him but GOD had also saved his wonderful wife! GOD flooded his spirit man with power and gave him an anointing for him to see miraculous things to take place, people saved and healed and lives that were changed in what now seemed to be altogether in another age. Bob, you have truly been given a precious tender heart and one that hungers and thirsts daily for HIM, and because of this, HE knows HE can count on you to continue in this new place to win souls and to bring healing for those in need again. We can surely say though brother Bob you will be greatly missed in this place, as you have been a blessing to this church in so many ways you will only be replaced by our LORD’s precious grace!
