Road
There is a road we cannot see.
It’s hidden in the future.
It wanders ever here and there,
controlled by human nature.
It winds through every twist and turn,
each one a new adventure,
that into memory will burn
a sweet or bitter texture.
We think “I’d like to see that road
and know it’s new direction,
so I can know which way to go
at every intersection”.
But such a road, if it could be,
would hold no satisfaction.
For choices set the spirit free
to choose our destination.
