Remember

Remember all those years ago, We learnt that hatred was a sin? But our minds were full of marigolds, And our eyes were never dim. But those were years, years ago, And times have long since changed. Many dreams have gone below, Our minds no longer strange. The chains have wrapped, round and round, Heavy as lead yet without sound. Dragging us, down and down, From Heaven to Earth; from flight to tread. (We wish the world would never change, Yet we simply can’t remain the same. Those memories - they’ve left a mark, Some others we keep near our hearts. Reality: It’s a pity.)
