Rain Drops On My Skin

I sat in silence as the rain drops fell, Each raindrop bouncing off my bare skin, Small rivers, running down my face like uninhibited tears, Like, Tears of joy, Tears of pain, Tears of wonder and gratitude to be alive. A voice called out ‘’are you coming in?’’ ''I am happy sitting here’’ I replied, Transfixed, I watched, A flash of lightning light up the late afternoon sky, I Felt, the sound of thunder send shudders through my bones. And I knew I was truly in the moment. John Roberts
