Prostitution

I do not belong to your affluent society, nor do I live at your mercy A victim of social circumstances. You sell your art and I bank on my flesh. No body likes to be called by my name for I am not a part of your fame.. yet you will sleep with me at night, smelling my flesh gives u delight ! Don't you throw away your pounds! Instead ,get some bones for your hounds ! I spit on the way this society refutes For no body is a born prostitute ! Smriti Jha aka Redfiery

I doubt if there are many prostitutes who do this just for fun; often it is the result of poverty or abuse. Your poem is expressive and I can sense the sincere emotions that it evokes. ~ Regards // paul

Our society looks down at the prostitute yet they will not be going out of business any time soon. A very thoughtful piece.

Interesting poem to say the least, Smriti. today's society has no call to refute anything at all. As Christ said" he who has no sin .. cast the first stone." You may or may not want to read my recent poem "the oldest profession. I enjoy your work. I see you are new here. Wonderful. It's a good place to be. Welcome

Too many kids get caught up in this with no choice once they are trapped. It's the hypocrites making the judgement. The same ones who are walking the street looking and hoping they never get caught, pillars of a society that has no conscience. Keep writing. Vince
