Remembering and honouring the dead, especially at this time of year, is the right thing to do, Phyllis. You do it so well with this short yet expressive poem. Regards // paul

When we were going out all the time just ordinary before the pandemic, we always bought one or two of them to wear for that day. I enjoyed reading your work. Thanks for the visits to my page. Sara

Dear Paulette, I was glad to find your poem. I'm related to Vietnam Vet & A Navy Seal. I always wear my red poppy. Once had to make myself a tissue paper, pipe cleaner poppy. I'd love to frame your poem for a space on my living room wall. It's a powerful one.

Oh Excellent Phyl. I always wear my poppy as a tribute to my dad who went through two wars. I wear a red felt one that I buy and I have a permanent one that I wear year round. Love this. A fave for me. God Bless, JB
