Poetry Saving Me

Poetry Saving Me Through darker days and darker ways if you could look you'd see. Through a darker time and words of rhyme there's poetry saving me. Taking me and breaking me at times I needed broken. Bending me and mending me words written now are spoken. Troubles that once came my way nowhere in my control. Like a hero in some movie poetry blessed my soul. The rest of me the best of me forgotten once neglected. Deep inside I cannot hide what poetry protected. The part of me the heart of me so tested over time. Freeing me for being me the words I find that rhyme. Through darker days I lost my way there were dreams not meant to be.
