Plight

I cry out boldly in the night In the darkness there so bright Standing stripped of moral might Looking back with perfect sight Slender rays of stars swift flight Pierce my weeping soul with smite Alone inside unbridled fright I roam within this parlous plight

great monorhymed poem, Fran, and I was so silly. I was reading your poem at the very top of the page (I guess it's your bio poem) about freedom, and I was thinking; How did he get a picture as background of his poem? Then I realized I was not looking at a regular poetry post. i loved that freedom poem at the top.

Lovely pen Fran, really good rhyme and flow too. Glad like me you're enjoying your retirement and being motivated by your pen. Blessings from Scotland, Gordon

Blessings, my friend. Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I am enjoying my retirement. I am living in Sarasota, Florida now after a lifetime enduring those harsh Western New York winters! Live free! Fran
