Perspectives
Perspectives
It’s not all in the wink of the eye,
Know the truth never to lie.
Envision with the eye of the heart,
Aware of the subtlety of its art.
When I thought I knew to love,
Surprised it lay in the breath of a dove.
I set my heart free
But to be caught in the web of thee.
Could it be true,
That I’d never have you,
Though your love’s lame,
It still bears my name.
Look me in the eye,
Whisper amidst your sigh,
That the passion for you I feel,
Ignites in you fire that heals.
I may never be sure,
Your heart I can desert lure,
And speak to it oasis,
Quench your love patched heart axis.
Do not live a lonesome life,
Even when you are in strife.
Permit your sunset beauty to radiate,
The dazzling side of you, mate.
Do not be fooled by what you understand
‘Cause when you come to know you’ll not stand.
The truth about you and I
Is not in you neither is it in me.
Truth lies where your certainty
Embraces my clarity;
Where your sight ends
And my vision mends.
