Pedestal
I'm the glass half empty
For you I'm never full
How's the air up there where you are
on your sky high pedestal?
I use too many paper towels
I put the cap on wrong
I'm wearing too much makeup
How could I like that song?
My poems are depressing
Who taught me how to drive
Is that what I'm wearing
Too see thru go inside
I didn't get the memo
An email, anything
To clue me in that you are God
And you know everything
You need to get a mirror
Focus, check your view
Its crystal clear from where I stand
That you're imperfect too
You make mistakes you do wrong
Your flaws are bountiful
So bring yourself back down to earth
And off your pedestal
