Over and Over
Let it be, over and over.
Some things just won't rest.
Memory's of love in clover.
Sometimes it just stays in your chest.
Let it be, let it be, let it be.
Don't you see?
It just won't leave me.
The heart is not the mind.
The pillow holds me every night.
God, you know that just ain't right.
The aftermath slipped through the door.
I look up, knee's on the floor.
Let it be, let it be, let it be.
Can you see?
Is it just me?
My heart is not my mind.
For the let it be contest. Aug 15, 2017
