Out of the Mouths

I 'm scared mommy. Why do we have to sleep here? Why can't we go home? A lot of people live here mommy. Why do they all look so sad? Did somebody take their house too? I'm hungry mommy. Can't I have just a little more? I can still hear my tummy rumbling. I'm cold mommy. Can I have some more covers? I got the shivers really bad. It's okay mommy, Please...don't Cry. It's okay...

Thank you Dave! This is one of my older pieces of poetry, but it never seems to fail to move people.

Kim, this is very sad. wow... I've noticed many of your poems can actually make my skin move with goosebumps or so. The child in your poem, will understand soon. Sometimes mommies have to put kids in certain situations, ~But, I believe the child always knows when mommy is hurting. xox~ LINDA

I hope making your skin move with "goosebumps" is a good thing because often I am trying to get to your heart and rattle your very core. I love your comments Linda. I wish I could figure out how to email you through this thing. Kim
