Only You
Sailing toward a horizon I’ll never reach
I cannot speak, tears on my cheeks
I’ve left the beach
Where it was warm, the sun stood still
Life was a breeze that never chilled
I was at peace
Those sandy shores been left behind
The tumultuous sea, a spray that blinds
I’m out of time
My love has gone, I’m in night’s grip
What was, now lost.. each wave a whip
I’m a sinking ship
And just for a moment I dare to dream
I’m back on the beach or so it seems
To me you cling
Smile melting my heart, fragrance in your hair
A second chance, this time I care
There’s no despair
I’m losing air, my ship is tossed
Drowning slow, thinking all I’ve lost
There’s only you
Girl, there’s only you
Only…
you!
