I like this. Great use of the two words with subtle but raw distinction between them. So real. :)

Some people are so afraid to let their feelings out in the open and be vulnerable, some are fearful of commitment. They remain hurt little children inside that have found ways of protecting themselves and they continue to use those outdated means of protection through life because that's all they know.

So true! And the bigger issue is that many of those very people crave the closeness, newness, ego boost, etc. that comes with interacting with another person on a romantic level so they come across as ready, willing and able and it's not unti later that you realize they weren't ever available. So basically, they get their needs met at another's expense, which is very unfair. I've been with someone like this and trust me, it sucked. Anyway, thank you for your insightful comment! Xoxo
