On distant shores we met that day
Our lives changed in every way
The stars align you always say
The time of us is here to stay
We didn't know what it could mean
On distant shores we met that day
To confide in someone sight unseen
Sharing has made our lives serene
Our time together we appreciate
All the ways we can communicate
On distant shores we met that day
We laugh, share and commiserate
Often morning, noon, nighttime too
I treasure all my time with you
A friendship like ours comes to few
On distant shores we met that day
