Oh River

I miss your curves and sway Oh, river.. now far away I think of what could have been Back then Where could you've led me to What wild adventures of riding you I cry a river within I miss your soft gently flow Oh, river.. so hard to go Your current mesmerized me Run free Your crystal blue made me high You were my river I could've been your sky You can't see.. I cry a river within The day will come When my tears will dry This day's an eternity But one day they'll fly Sweet river memory It will take awhile When all thoughts of you Will make me smile Oh River One day you'll make me smile ~Lyric Man Note: Her name was River. My first true love. We lasted a spring and summer. We cooled with autumn. Rivers just need to run free. I understood, but it broke my heart. We had perfect chemistry. I smile when I think back. I miss her at times.. I think I always will! Then again, this could just be a song about the beauty of a natural river. You decide...

Indeed, there is no rhythmic undulating flow like the river of love. The Brazos running to the Gulf Of Mexico forever cascades the chambers of my heart. Peace and Love, Millard Lowe.

Just gorgeous … A 21st century re-up and elevation of some songs I remember from 'a couple of years ago:' Pat Boone's 'Moody River' (~1957) and Andy Williams' 'Moon River' (~1961). Like the blending of the nature with la femme. Best wishes, Gershon

Hi Lyric, What a beautiful write on a lost love. It shows how one feels when we visit old memories. It could be a smell, picture or thought. And in that moment we are connected with the memory of an old flame. Futhermore it can also be a song / lyrics about a natural river. Either way this is a good piece. Well done:-) Alexis
